2025 legislative reception

hosted by Colorado Wildlife Conservation Project members

January 28. 2025

[Denver, Colorado] Members of the Colorado Wildlife Conservation Project hosted their annual sportsmen’s legislative reception at the Buckhorn Exchange on January 28th. Twenty-four Colorado state legislators, Department of Natural Resources staff, one Parks and Wildlife Commissioner, hunters, anglers, and other wildlife conservationists who care deeply about wildlife, hunting, and fishing enjoyed an evening of camaraderie and connection.

Spokesmen for the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation and Coloradans for Responsible Wildlife Management recognized the 2025 Sportsmen’s Caucus co-chairs: Senator Dylan Roberts, Senator Rod Pelton, Representative Meghan Lukens, and Representative Ryan Armagost, and caucus members Representatives Briana Titone, Larry Suckla, Ty Winter, and Dusty Johnson, and Senators Jeff Bridges, Marc Catlin, Larry Liston, Paul Lundeen, Kyle Mullica, Cleave Simpson, and Marc Snyder. Many of this year’s Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus leaders and members were in attendance, and the Colorado Wildlife Conservation Project sincerely thanks each of them for their exceptional leadership, and commitment to educating their fellow legislators on the issues that matter so much to our community.

Hunting, fishing, and other wildlife-related recreation contribute over $7.5 billion to Colorado’s economy each year according to the latest study commissioned by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.[1] Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus members are critical to ensuring that all Coloradans can enjoy quality time afield, whether hunting, fishing, or simply spending time in nature.

The Colorado Wildlife Conservation Project thanks all the legislators and conservation community leaders who joined together at the reception to get to know one another, celebrate collective wins, and prepare for the legislative work ahead. We look forward to working together this year, and for years to come.
